Grux 3.0, released on 29 September 2026, changes two things. What you see: the sidebar is gone, and Grux opens on one Command Panel with a single input, a Now list of what needs you and the Optimize Grux card. Anything you open, Chat, Today, Settings or Mail, slides in as one pane beside it. What changed underneath: every small judgment Grux makes for you, whether a message was meant for it, whether a mail needs you, whether a command is dangerous, now goes through one decision engine that you can see and tune on a single Tuning page. A command you say outright is decided on your Mac in about a millisecond, with no network. Only you answer a workflow's question, and a dry run changes nothing outside Grux. The public repository runs 3878 tests on every change.
Deciding what you meant used to take a network round trip of over a third of a second. It now happens on your Mac in about a millisecond. End to end, a spoken command reaches execution in about 1.5 seconds, down from 3.1. The target was 0.6 seconds and 3.0 did not reach it: transcription has a floor of about three quarters of a second, and Grux waits out a short pause before acting. Getting lower needs recognition that runs while you are still speaking, which is planned for 3.1.
